See It From 30,000 Feet
Updated: Dec 28, 2018

Recently, I was at an airport ready to fly back home from a speaking engagement. The weather outside was dark with low clouds and heavy rain and it had been that way for days. Everyone flying out of that city that day was accustomed to the gloomy surroundings, as that was all we had seen in that city for a while.
Interestingly though, once we took off and spent time climbing, we broke through those clouds and, amazingly, were in bright sunshine. We were at a totally different altitude and because of that our view had changed dramatically.
As I looked out my window that day I thought about how metaphorical that was to our lives. Maybe today you are in a place where there are low clouds and heavy rain. Maybe it has been like that for a long time.
Today, as your Chief Encouragement Officer, I want to encourage you that while you may be experiencing that gloom, if you elevate your thinking, look at things from a higher vantage point you may realize there is sunshine and a wider view.
Here is to climbing above your current circumstances and having a real perspective!
